The first edition of the Arte Brasil - Um Olhar project, in the state of Minas Gerais, has already reverted more than 30 thousand Reais to artisans and artists who disseminate Brazilian popular culture in regions of social vulnerability. Antônio, Juliana and Vicentina Julião, Elisa Pena, Guto and Tiago Carassa, Rhayani Paschoalim are the protagonists. For the directors of Casa Tendenza Galleria, Lisi Wendel, and Tales Morigi, undertaking this initiative is a dream of transforming the financial reality of these artisans into a new look at art.
“The artist needs to be free, only in this way is he being true and able to convey what is inside him. Their value, self-love, and self-esteem live there, ”comments Lisi. In this script, Lisi and Tales shared much more than stories, but emotions and desires. “I'll confess something when you got here and started talking, I got suspicious. It was too good to be true, you treated us with so much respect for our work. Today I realize that you are wonderful and rare people. It is great to know that God has placed you on our way to be our great friends. Thank you for not giving up on the first curve of the bad road that brought you here and that you continue this beautiful work going further and showing the artisans how you showed us our value ”, says Juliana, artisan, and daughter of Vicentina Julião.
